Job Description

Chief Business Officer – Genomics – France

Global Life Science Hub has partnered with a prominent life-science vendor supporting various biotech and pharmaceutical companies. They have core expertise in advanced multiomics solutions covering genomics, proteomics, lipidomics and metabolomics.

Currently headquartered in France, they have an impressive 3,000 square metres of the highest quality R&D laboratories with extensive expansion plans currently in motion to expand into the UK and East Coast, USA; they consider themselves a train about to leave the station.

To support their aggressive expansion plans, they now seek an experienced Business Development Leader who can spearhead their BD teams to an international status. The appointed candidate will inherit a small but experienced team of 5 with plans to grow this 200% in 2024.


  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the visibility and awareness of our CRO services and IVD products in target markets.
  • Lead, coach, recruit, and manage the Business Development team, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and key decision-makers in the target market, identifying customer needs and negotiating contracts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communication teams to develop effective external communication strategies, including content creation and social media oversight.
  • Represent the company at industry events, workshops, conferences, and trade fairs, networking with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategies.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to establish smart objectives for yourself and the Business Development team.
  • Track progress and take necessary actions to ensure targets are met or exceeded.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related life science field
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Must have experience selling multiomics solutions. Such as, Genomics, Proteomics etc
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Proficiency in market analysis and strategic planning.
  • Willingness to travel and represent the company at industry events.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding business targets.
