Head of Human Resources – Remote, East Coast United States

Global Life Science Hub is partnered with a niche, specialist biopharmaceutical company offering next-generation drug delivery technologies and an advanced pipeline of oral and biosimilar drugs. They aim to improve patient outcomes through innovative drug delivery technologies and therapeutic solutions.

They are now searching for a new key member of the management team, the Head of Human Resources will play a critical role in building a culture that fosters innovation, growth, and a commitment to excellence as the company look to double in headcount over the next 3 years.

The Head of Human Resources will provide leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of HR. This includes leading the development and implementation of HR strategies and programs that support the company’s goals and objectives. The Head of HR will develop and execute HR programs, policies, and procedures to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other management team members to build and maintain a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.
  • Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and procedures that support the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other members of the management team to build and maintain a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets for HR programs and initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor HR team members to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and address key talent needs, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external HR vendors and consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with business leaders, employees, and external partners.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
