Head of Biostatistics

Location: USA Remote

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Biostatistics to lead our Biostatistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight for all biostatistics activities and ensuring that all statistical aspects of clinical trials are conducted to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Biostatistics team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all statistical aspects of clinical trials are conducted to the highest standards.
• Develop and implement biostatistics strategies and processes, ensuring that they are in line with industry standards and guidelines.
• Provide statistical expertise to clients and internal teams, including study design, sample size calculations, statistical analysis plans, and interpretation of statistical results.
• Ensure timely delivery of statistical deliverables, including tables, figures, and listings (TFLs), data reports, and statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
• Oversee the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to biostatistics.
• Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for the Biostatistics team.

Requirements:

• PhD or master’s degree in Biostatistics or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in biostatistics in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with at least 3 years of experience managing a biostatistics team.
• Experience with clinical trial design, sample size calculations, statistical analysis plans, and interpretation of statistical results.
• Experience with SAS programming, TFLs, data reports, and SAPs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
