Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Vice President (VP) of Biostatistics to lead our Biostatistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing all biostatistics activities, ensuring the highest level of statistical expertise is delivered to clients, and leading the growth and development of the Biostatistics team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Biostatistics team, ensuring that all statistical aspects of clinical trials are conducted to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement biostatistics strategies and processes, ensuring that they are in line with industry standards and guidelines.
  • Provide statistical expertise to clients and internal teams, including study design, sample size calculations, statistical analysis plans, and interpretation of statistical results.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of statistical deliverables, including tables, figures, and listings (TFLs), data reports, and statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to biostatistics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Drive the growth and development of the Biostatistics team, including hiring and training of new staff, and creating career development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Biostatistics or related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in biostatistics in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with at least 5 years of experience managing a biostatistics team.
  • Proven track record of successful client relationships and business development.
  • Expertise in clinical trial design, sample size calculations, statistical analysis plans, and interpretation of statistical results.
  • Experience with SAS programming, TFLs, data reports, and SAPs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
