Job Description

Global Life Science Hub is representing a market leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This position is for a Manager of Business Development, East Coast, which is a remote role requiring residence in the US Northeast region.

The Manager of Business Development will be responsible for implementing effective sales strategies and achieving revenue goals in their assigned regions. They will focus on generating new business prospects and maintaining strategic customer relationships within pharma and biotech companies. The role involves managing the full sales life cycle, from prospect identification to contract execution.

We are looking to speak with BDMs who possess substantial expertise and knowledge in the field of Cell & Gene Therapy. Specifically, we are interested in individuals with experience in areas such as CAR T, Stem Cell Macro Phase, and related disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new clinical and commercial development prospects through various channels.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, actively participating in networking opportunities.
  • Own product information and sales processes from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Foster customer relationships, drive continuous improvement, and liaise with internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively to align deals with business needs and drive account strategies.
  • Drive year-over-year growth of new business opportunities in the region.
  • Maintain accurate customer data and updates in CRM (HubSpot).
  • Gather market intelligence and provide relevant reports on customers and competitors.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the sales life cycle for contract services.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools to support business development activities.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, organize tasks, and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quick to learn new software.

Education & Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences/engineering field (Advanced degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of CDMO sales and business development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in cell & gene therapy.

Working Conditions:

This is a remote role with frequent travel (up to 50 – 80%).
