Head of Quality Assurance

Global Life Science Hub proudly partnered with a boutique German CDMO that’s breaking ground in crafting high-quality suppositories, ointments, and gels. Since receiving a recent and significant cash injection, they’re invested extensively in new cutting-edge technology and machines as they plan to ramp up their production efforts by 4-fold.

Due to their remarkable achievements as they enter a new period of further expansion and growth, we’re searching for a brand-new Head of Quality Assurance. This strategic leader will drive excellence in quality, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement whilst building the team from the ground up.

Position: Head of Quality Assurance / QP

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the quality assurance function.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including processes, systems, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and implement robust quality management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and qualify systems, equipment, and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.
• Demonstrate expertise in risk management and risk-based testing.
• Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Champion a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.
• Lead quality training sessions, ensuring team competency and awareness.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
• Share responsibility for budget management and resource allocation.
• Optimize resource utilization to achieve quality goals.
• Possess strong technical skills related to quality assurance.
• Communicate effectively with key stakeholders regarding quality matters.

Experience/Qualifications:

• A life-science degree is essential, a MSc or PhD is strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Qualified Person.
• Prior contract manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
